Bhumi Fellowship Program in India 2024-26 is a 2-year, full-time paid program designed to develop future leaders in education. It provides young graduates with hands-on training and experience in teaching and transforming schools in India. 

The primary goals and approach of the fellowship includes:

  • Mission:To create educational equity by developing leaders who can transform the public education system in India.
  • Focus:The program takes a whole-school transformation approach, working with all stakeholders in a school ecosystem, including students, teachers, school leaders, and parents.
  • Leadership Development:The fellowship goes beyond just teaching, aiming to equip fellows with the skills and knowledge to become changemakers in the education system.

About Bhumi:

Bhumi, a non-profit organization known as India's largest youth volunteering organization. They have been working towards transforming schools in India for over 10 years and leverage their expertise to design and run the Fellowship program.

Bhumi Fellowship Program in India 2024-26

Open for candidates who –

  • are aged between 20-30 years
  • hold a degree in Social Work, Sociology, English Literature, B.Ed., Psychology, Law, B.E., or B.Tech program
  • are aligned with Teaching, EdTech, or Systemic Transformation
  • have prior experience in event organising, club leading, team managing, or student union involvement
  • are willing to commit to a two-year full-time fellowship
  • are based in Chennai or are ready to move to Chennai
Benefits:

Selected candidates will receive a monthly grant of ₹25,500 for two years.

This grant includes ₹5,500 for monthly allowances, covering expenses such as housing rent, laptop, mobile data, and reimbursements.

Upon successful completion of the 2-year fellowship, they will receive a seed fund of ₹1,00,000.
