Job Description:

The OT COMMS (Operational Technology) SME for Power Utility Transmission and Distribution is responsible for managing and overseeing all communication systems and technologies related to the operation and control of power transmission and distribution networks. This role involves ensuring seamless communication between various OT devices, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, substations, and control centers to optimize the efficiency and reliability of the power grid.

• At least 10 years of experience in setting up and maintaining WAN networks – Fiber, DWDM, SDH/PDH, MPLS-TP for large enterprises such as Telco’s or Utility Companies.
• Identify issues, provide resolutions, recommend bandwidth estimations, monitor KPIs- and recommend any upgrades to new technologies.
• Knowledge on SCADA/IET data communications in a Utility sector an added advantage
