Educational Qualification and Experience: (As on 23.04.2024)

Assistant Commissioner	(i) Must possess any degree and also a degree of Bachelor of Law (3 years course) or a degree of Bachelor of Law (5 years Integrated course) of a University recognised by the University Grants Commission for purpose of its Grant. and (ii) (a) Must be actually practicing as an Advocate or as a Pleader in a Court of Civil or Criminal Jurisdiction for a period of not less than three years. or (b) Must have put in a service of not less than six years in the post of Executive Officer, Grade-I or Grade-II or Grade-III or Grade-IV, or Inspector or Head Clerk or Manager or Superintendent in the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.
District Educational Officer	a) For Open Market candidates: 1. A Master’s degree of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission in the State or a degree of equivalent standard in any one of the following subjects namely Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Geography, History, Commerce, Tamil and English and 2. Should have studied Tamil under Part-I or Part-II of the Intermediate or Pre-University Course or Higher Secondary Course and 3. Bachelor of Teaching or Bachelor of Education of any recognized University in the State or a degree of equivalent standard.b) For the Teacher candidates employed in recognized aided secondary schools and higher secondary schools: 1. A Master’s Degree of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission in the State or a Degree of equivalent standard in any one of the following subjects namely Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Geography, History, Commerce, Tamil and English and 2. Should have studied Tamil under Part-I or Part-II of the Intermediate or Pre University Course or Higher Secondary Course and 3. Teaching experience for a period of not less than twelve years in a recognized school after acquiring the degree of Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent qualification.

 

Note –  Candidate must have passed Tamil as one of the subject in SSLC or Degree Examination.

• Maximum Age Limit for Assistant Commissioner Post: 34 Years (Should not have completed)
• Maximum Age Limit for District Educational Officer (For Open Market Candidates) : 32 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for District Educational Officer (For Teachers employed in recognised aided
• Secondary Schools and Higher Secondary Schools) : 42 Years
• Age Relaxation is Applicable as per rules
